href=\"http:\/\/blog.sfsoft.it\/2010\/11\/02\/installare-vmware-server-su-kernels-2-6-3x\/\">Installare VMware Server su kernels 2.6.3x <\/a>ora vediamo come installare il vetusto e non pi\u00f9 supportato ma sempre valido <em>VMware Server 2.0.2<\/em> anche sul <em>kernel 3.5.0<\/em> di <em>Ubuntu Precise Pangolin 12.04.2<\/em><\/p>\n<p>La procedura \u00e8 pi\u00f9 semplice in quanto si utilizza una <a href=\"http:\/\/pavlinux.ru\/vmware\/8.0.4\/\" target=\"_blank\">patch per VMware\u00ae Workstation 8.0.4<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Si procede al download di <em>VMware Server 2.0.2<\/em> ed alla sua installazione nella maniera usuale:<\/p>\n<pre lang=\"bash\">sudo apt-get install build-essential\r\ntar xzvf VMware-server-2.0.2-203138.i386.tar.gz\r\ncd vmware-server-distrib\r\nsudo .\/vmware-install.pl<\/pre>\n<p>La procedura di installazione terminer\u00e0 senza errori per\u00f2 dopo al richiamo della configurazione <em>vmware-config.pl<\/em> terminer\u00e0 con un errore.<\/p>\n<p>A questo punto si passa a scaricare la patch:<\/p>\n<pre lang=\"bash\">cd \/usr\/lib\/vmware\/modules\r\nwget http:\/\/pavlinux.ru\/vmware\/8.0.4\/source.tar.lzma\r\ntar xf source.tar.lzma\r\nrm source.tar.lzma<\/pre>\n<p>E si richiama la configurazione di <em>VMware Server 2.0.2<\/em>:<\/p>\n<pre lang=\"bash\">sudo vmware-config.pl<\/pre>\n<p>Ora la configurazione dovrebbe terminare senza problemi e riuscire ad avviare tutti i demoni correttamente.<\/p>\n<pre lang=\"bash\">Starting VMware services:\r\n   Virtual machine monitor             done\r\nStarting VMware management services:\r\n   VMware Server Host Agent (background)                               done\r\n   VMware Virtual Infrastructure Web Access\r\nStarting VMware autostart virtual machines:\r\n   Virtual machines                                                    done\r\n\r\nThe configuration of VMware Server 2.0.2 build-203138 for Linux for
